About Marketing Internship Jobs

We define marketing under Kotler’s 4 P’s; which are Product, Price, Place and Promotion. Most industries split their marketing positions into a number of different roles. Product Marketing uses market research and insights, manufacturing and product development as well as pricing. Place (ie: distribution) is often with Trade Marketing, Channel Marketing or even sales. Promotion includes all ways of contacting the target customer ranging from traditional avenues such as advertising and direct marketing through to PR, interactive solutions and events. These roles usually fall under Communications.There are plenty of marketing jobs. The first step in the process of finding a marketing job is to create your resume . As a marketing professional, you are used to selling goods or services. In addition to goods and services, you need to sell yourself with a resume that will make potential employers sit up and take notice. Marketing managers are typically looking for people who are able to think outside the box and get things done. They want creative types who are independent thinkers and who are personable. Corporate Communications, on the other hand, are less about the product but more about the company as an overall brand. This includes job functions such as PR, crisis management, internal communications. Your marketing resume should show that you are hard-working and willing to put in the hours to make your company successful. You also need to show that you are knowledgeable about the product or service. If you don’t have this knowledge, show that you are eager and willing to learn. Since good salespeople can sell almost anything, you should sell your sales skills to the employer. Back up your claims about your skills with actual statistics. If you have won any awards or honors for your marketing, create a section on your resume and list them. This is an important factor that shows what you are capable of achieving. People skills are important in marketing. You must be able to communicate well with others, both verbally and in writing. You should have good organizational skills and be able to manage your time well since most sales positions require you to set your own schedule. Show that you are self-motivated. Marketing involves getting rejected many times a day until you finally make a sale. A good marketing person has an optimistic attitude at all times.Marketing online jobs are most commonly referred to as web advertising. The internet has brought in countless opportunities and benefits of online marketing. If you want to start an online marketing job then you can start right away.The audience is global and the product that you are marketing has a greater coverage compared to stores and malls. Your job certainly won’t be boring as you will have customers from all over the world. The unique quality of online marketing is its interactive nature. Instant response plays a major role in online marketing. Online marketing has a wider scope because it is based on digital media.Online marketing jobs allow you to bind technical internet knowledge and creativity together. Marketing online does not mean that you simply have a website and start marketing. If you want to make a success out of your online marketing job then you have to be creative including design, development, marketing and sales strategies.
